Atlas credits across four tiers, amounts not published
Read this first
Two twelve month clocks in sequence, and the first one is easy to forget because nothing prompts you. The tier decides the amount and MongoDB will not tell you what any tier is worth before you are in it.

What the terms actually say
Four tiers named after ambition rather than money, Inspire for bootstrapped companies through to Scale, and MongoDB publishes no figure for any of them. What it does publish is the timing, which is the part that costs people: twelve months to activate the promo code after you are accepted, then twelve months to spend it, with extensions considered case by case if you ask while three months remain. The bootstrapped tier is real, so this is one of the few large database offers with a door for unfunded teams. Agencies and development shops are excluded, and the package also carries Voyage AI tokens plus matching credits at Fireworks AI and Temporal.
Who can claim it, in MongoDB's words
Less than seven years old and Series A or earlier, building a single scalable software product, not previously accepted, with an active website and LinkedIn profile. Agencies and development shops are excluded. Existing Atlas users can still apply.
What you get without this
The MongoDB Atlas free tier, a shared cluster with a fixed storage limit, then published pay as you go pricing.
We list a perk because it beats walking up to the vendor unannounced. If it ever stops doing that, it comes off the index.
