Six months free, usage limits apply
Read this first
Six months is short next to the twelve month norm on this shelf, and it lands at the point where a cache has become load bearing. Knowing the list price for your actual memory footprint before month six is the whole exercise.

What the terms actually say
Six months of Redis free for qualifying startups, with the page adding that usage limits apply and then not saying what they are. That qualifier matters more here than it would elsewhere: Redis Cloud is priced by memory and throughput, so an unstated limit is the difference between a cache for a side project and one that carries production traffic. What Redis does define is the rest of the package, early access to new features and products alongside the free period. Who qualifies is not spelled out on the page either.
Who can claim it, in Redis's words
Not published. The page says qualifying startups without listing funding, headcount or age criteria, and the usage limits on the free period are also unstated.
What you get without this
The Redis Cloud free tier, a single small database with a fixed memory limit, or self hosting the open source server.
We list a perk because it beats walking up to the vendor unannounced. If it ever stops doing that, it comes off the index.
