Claude API credits and the highest rate limits
Read this first
Acceptance raises you to Anthropic's highest rate limits, which is the part worth more than the credits if you are shipping to production. Nothing on the page says what happens if you have already spent on the API, and nothing says how large the credit is.
How to claim it, in 4 steps

What the terms actually say
The page says any early stage founder building with Claude can join, and then lists equity funding from an institutional investor as a requirement. Those two statements do not agree, and if you are bootstrapped the second one is the one that will decide your application. No credit amount is named anywhere on the page. One limit is stated clearly and is easy to miss: credits apply to the first party Claude API through the Console only, so they are worth nothing if you planned to run Claude through Amazon Bedrock or Google Vertex AI. When the credits run out, standard API pricing takes over automatically with no migration step.
Who can claim it, in Anthropic's words
Equity funding from an institutional investor, founded within the last four years, and no previous Anthropic startup credits. The page separately says VC backing is not required, which contradicts the funding requirement.
What you get without this
A standard Claude Console account on pay as you go pricing, with the default rate limits for your usage tier.
We list a perk because it beats walking up to the vendor unannounced. If it ever stops doing that, it comes off the index.
