Together AI does not publish a credit expiry or what happens when the balance runs out, and the tier is assigned once rather than re-evaluated as you raise. The reserved cluster exclusion is the thing that bites in production: the workload shape the credits subsidise is not the one you migrate to when traffic is steady, so the unit cost you measure during the grant is not the one you will pay.

What the terms actually say
Three tiers, and unusually the ladder runs the wrong way round from a founder's point of view: the more you have raised, the more you get. Build is up to $5M raised and up to $15k of credits, Scale is $5M to $10M raised and up to $30k, Grow is over $10M raised and up to $50k. Each tier also carries a fixed block of forward deployed engineering time, three, six and ten hours respectively, which is the part that is hard to buy at any price. The exclusion to read before planning around this is that credits do not apply to Reserved GPU Clusters, so the grant covers serverless inference, fine tuning, dedicated endpoints and instant clusters but not the reserved capacity you would move to at scale.

Open worldwide, with the tier set by total funding raised rather than by round name. Under $5M raised reaches the $15k tier, $5M to $10M the $30k tier, and over $10M the $50k tier. No company age limit is published.
What you get without this
Together AI's published pay as you go pricing, which the pricing page frames as "start for free, scale on demand" without naming a signup credit. Serverless inference runs $0.03 to $4.40 per million output tokens depending on model, dedicated inference from $5.49 per GPU hour and on-demand GPU clusters from $3.99 per GPU hour.
